I was hired to work a one year to 18 month Occupational Medicine contract at the Yuma Proving Grounds in Yuma, Arizona. Shortly after my arrival (2-4 weeks)bI was told that the contract that was supposed to be 12-18 months would be canceled by the military DHA consolidation. My complaint is that I had no knowledge of impending loss of funding, Had I been informed of this possibility, I would not have driven 2700 miles across the country with my family. On the first day of my arrival, I was told by Eagle Health representative Courtney James to not listen to any rumors about contract funding issues.
I believe this company needed to fill a position for a doctor to maintain their contract. They had no regard for me to fully inform that the contract would soon be terminated by the Army. this is confirmed through email correspondence with the previous doctor (dr. Molenar) as well as two of the majors in charge. One of the majors (major Papius of Ft. Irwin) asked Courtney James via email if the incoming Doctor was aware that funding for his position will end in 3 months. To which Cape Fox replied the doctor has been made fully aware. this ofcourse was a fabrication by Eagle Health
