Technical Assistance - Sec Ops "What to Expect During an OFCCP Compliance Evaluation"

On October 16th at 1:30 p.m., OFCCP Compliance Officer Emily Arroyo provided compliance assistance to four employees with SEC-OPS, Inc. that each have different responsibilities regarding the contractor’s AAPs. CO Arroyo provided an overview on what to expect during an OFCCP compliance evaluation. The presentation introduced OFCCP, the Agency’s scheduling process, the components of an AAP (EO 11246, Section 503 and VEVRAA), the elements of an onsite visit as well as common problem areas. We discussed placement goals and how to use their placement goals in recruiting for qualified applicants of specific groups. The employees also had questions about recruitment (mainly the job posting requirement). We discussed alternate options in recruiting efforts and emphasized the importance of the contractor’s assessment of recruiting efforts.
