Shaping the Future: K-12 to Careers in Manufacturing Panel

On June 5, 2024 the Phoenix Field Office, as part of the Place-Based team participated in the event Shaping the Future: K-12 to Careers in Manufacturing. The event was hosted by the Western Maricopa Educational Center (West-MEC) and featured Acting Secretary Su. The first event was a closed-door roundtable with stakeholders who represented Career and Technical Education institutions, as well as stakeholders who facilitate education to career through apprenticeships and other pipelines. This event was held in support of the CHIPS & Science Act and the kick off of DOL’s Good Jobs Summer.
