Women & Girls Construction Career Exploration Day - Buffalo, NY

In celebration of Women in Construction Week, US Department of Labor (OFCCP) has partnered with National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and Buffalo Employment and Training Center (BETC) to introduce female students and women in Western New York to the construction trades.
Why Attend?
Keynote Speaker: Dolly Randle, President and Entrepreneur at Compliance & Administrative Services of New York (CASNY). Mrs. Randle will share invaluable insights into the construction field, highlighting opportunities for women considering this dynamic career path.
Panel Discussion: Gain insights from panelists including leaders from the construction industry and experts from government protection agencies. They will share their experiences, discuss the realities of working in construction and address potential barriers women may face.
Informational Tables: Explore a range of informational tables hosted by unions, construction businesses, and government protection agencies. These tables will provide essential information on: How to become a union member, Apprenticeship training program details, Prevailing wage rates for trade positions, Demonstrations and hands-on tool experiences and info on government protections for workers in the construction industry.
This event is a unique opportunity for female students and women interested in entering the construction trades to gain direct access to resources, expertise, and support.
