I was tasked to seek (non-legal) mediation services that would provide a mediation exercise between two opposing parties in hopes of coming to an agreed-upon solution. The organization is a large higher education institution located in the state of Missouri. The conflict is the result of multiple years of disagreement, institutional decision-making, hurt feelings, misunderstanding of perspective and roles with challenging communication processes and expectations. This is also a need following a vote of no confidence against the Executive leadership team by the faculty body.
What are your goals for working with the Ombuds?
The goal of working with an Ombudsperson is to help the two parties work through their conflicts and come to an agreed-upon solution that all can agree to and move forward from within the institution. The parties hope that the ombuds will be able to coach the teams to a solution and provide neutral and honest feedback on how to be active and willing participants to reach a solution. There is also the goal of mending professional relationships in a way that any upcoming conflicts can be handled internally without the help from an external expert.
Context: the institution has gone through a vote of no confidence among the faculty body voting that they have little to no confidence in their Executive Cabinet members. This vote took place last spring 23 and today the two parties would like to work through their differences and move forward with better understanding and better working relationships.

Amazon ended my employment after I complained that my manager was secretely adjusting my timecard. I experienced a history of discrimination and complained about it, as well.
When I filed for unemployment, I believe they are somehow influencing the protocol in Texas. My employment ended because of retaliation. However, your unemployment rep appeared biased, and the call is recorded. So you may ask them for it. I believe they are on a mission to personally ruin me.
Texas (which I believe is Amazon) also interfered with me applying for unemployment IN ANOTHER STATE, after a contract ended with another employer. It is obvious that there is something going on, because when I tried to apply in another state, the other state wasn’t able to access the normal details they need to consider all of my wages. IT IS A NIGHTMARE! I desperately need a doctor’s appointment. I’m without insurance and no income.

There are no wages in Texas for the unemployment period, and there is no reason for them to be involved when I file in another state. Can you help with getting them to leave my details alone. The Commissioner stated that they wiped my claim out the system, which was supposed to allow me to file in the other state, but this isn’t true. I really need help.
