I am an employee of federal contractor (Merck) and I have requested a disability workplace accommodation. I was previously employed at a subsidiary of Merck, MSD, as a contingent worker, and I was granted a workplace accommodation while working there. I have requested that MSD transfer all documentation of my prior workplace accommodation to Merck's disability administrator to help document the history of my disability. MSD has refused to comply with my request, and I am concerned that this will require me to re-document my disability starting with medical records. My question involves whether a federal contractor is required to have records portability.
